Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker contender in the world by many of the top-ranked pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching the age of 1. His grandfather taught him one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was hooked on poker and wanted to learn every little thing he possibly could about the game. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and an eternal love for poker. Phil says that he is picking up skills every day and is quite humble about his accomplishments. He admits to making errors every single session of poker and always strives to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some large tournaments, he likes winning money games on a regular basis.
